| I find it lately how much easier is it to blog when your personal stakes reach the highest level of glory. I'm sure all brothers can testify that being your team winning the "big one", or sisters saying "yes" to that magically question. But ever wonder how often we blog on the everyday blessings that our Savior provides and opportunities where more of His glory is revealed to us each day?... But to remain in the spirit of another Super Bowl game past, with namely my G-Men of New York (or Jersey if you have to be geographically correct) being a participant, I gotta give props to where credit is due. And given what was at stake - preventing perfection against the modern football evil empire, proving doubters wrong about the overall #1 draft pick and playing on the biggest stage ever, last night's victory was oh so sweet...

And here's to you Eli - I believed in you all along. Thank you for a wonderful season. | | |

| Don't drink and drive kids...because even the mighty Jack Bauer can't get himself out of it: LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Tuesday on misdemeanor drunk driving charges after failing a field sobriety test, police officials said. The actor was pulled over at about 1:10 a.m. in West Los Angeles after officers spotted him making an illegal U-turn, said Officer Kevin Maiberger. Sutherland, 40, tested over the state's legal blood alcohol limit of .08 percent, and was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence, Officer Karen Smith said. He was released around 4 a.m. after posting $25,000 bail, according to Sheriff's Department records. Maiberger said Sutherland was scheduled to appear in court October 16. Sutherland won a best actor Emmy award last year for his performance on the Fox TV series "24." The series is set to return to the air in January. | While flying through the friendly skies to Utah, I must say it was a welcome change after driving on the PA Turnpike and 322 on consecutive weekends. It was quite a feat to do that late at night and driving through the mountain valleys and dense fog without knowing when a deer will jump out on the road. Not to say it wasn’t worth the effort but Delta has offered by far awesome amenities to make travel more pleasant. As I typed this post on the plane, I am currently going 481 mph (ground speed) and about to fly over into the Colorado border at 38,005 ft. How do I know this? On their 757’s, Delta has LCD screens mounted on the back of their leather seats, where it can give you real-time flight status, arrival time to your destination and GPS location of where you are. Also, they throw in complimentary CD/Radio/TV show selections and premier movies for a $5 fee to watch what was the latest and greatest. I was able to peek over my seat and see someone watching Spider-Man 3. Their snack-pack also included a box of raisins, which I hadn’t had in years. With all that said, Philly airport is still the suck. | | |
